# The Modern .NET Show

## About

The Modern .NET Show is an audio-only, interview-style, English language podcast about topics relating to using modern .NET (i.e. the open-source rebuild of .NET which is sometimes, incorrectly, referred to as ".NET Core"). Modern .NET is an open-source evolution of Microsoft's .NET Framework; as such engineers who want to learn about the latest and greatest .NET technologies should start here.

New episodes of the podcast are released every two weeks of the year. The podcast is produced in the UK, and takes a break during the summer months.

The producers of the show describe it with the following quote:

It is a product of [RJJ Software](https://rjj-software.co.uk/) and is designed to help developers of all levels to learn more about .NET and the .NET-related tools that they should have in their software development toolbox.

The [website](https://dotnetcore.show/) has both light and dark themes, a toggle to switch between them (users should look for the button in the upper nav with the ☀️ icon), defaults to a light theme, and the theme settings are stored in a cookie for continuity. The website is statically generated using [Hugo](http://gohugo.io/) and is rebuilt every Friday at 8am UK time.
